CCIM's Houston / Gulf Coast Chapter's members Go Green for MCE credit at ECO [BOOT CAMP]

HOUSTON, TEXAS--September 14, 2007--Today, Houston-area commercial real estate brokers got up-to-date on the hottest trend in Texas real estate: GREEN. CCIM's Houston / Gulf Coast Chapter hosted Momentum Bay's ECO [BOOT CAMP] for Real Estate Professionals.

Momentum Bay created ECO [BOOT CAMP] in response to a need for wide & deep training about green buildings & green business. Instructor Mark Robinson commented, "For the last two years, we've heard owners, developers, architects & end-users at green building and real estate meetings state that brokers & realtors along with lenders seem to be the last stakeholders to understand the costs, benefits & value of high performance green buildings. As of Greenbuild 2005, a very small number of real estate professionals had joined the US Green Building Council relative to other professions. That's definitely changed since then."

One of the CCIM organizers was very kind and excited to say, "Wow! Thank you so much for a terrific presentation. The games and gifts were really fun. Because of ECO [BOOT CAMP], I would like to get my LEED Accreditation. How do I begin?"

Robinson was joined by another special guest instructor Alex Stadtner, LEED®, a sustainability & green building consultant with Green Building Services, Inc., one of the nine companies on contract to perform submittal reviews of all LEED projects for the US Green Building Council. GBS' LEED faculty members also provide officially sanctioned USGBC & LEED training. (Momentum Bay serves as GBS' Texas Business Developer.)
